Abstract
Objective To investigate the value of three-dimensional(3D) imaging technique of 16-slice CT in ureteral diseases. Methods 16-slice CT was performed in fifty-seven cases with suspected ureteral diseases, which were all observed with 3D imaging technique. Results Twenty-five ureteral calculus, 3 stenosis, 5 ureteroceles, 3 ureteral tuberculosis, 3 ureteral duplication, 5 postcaval ureters, 1 ureter involved by ovarian cancer,2 ureteral cancer were diagnosed among 57cases. MSCTU can display directly the shape of diseases and their relationship with surrounding structures,and the rate of success was almost 100%. Conclusion The combination of MSCTU and 3D imaging technique has distinct value of clinical application, and can be used routinely.
