Abstract
Jiao Ran's Shi Shi is a pretty important work of Tang Dynasty. But up to now, there isn't any systematic research on it.Even though, during the 21th century, nearly forty academic articles about Jiao Ran's Shi Shi were published, including intensive studies on his life,on the development of the book's edition and on its artistic conception, style and views about the history of poetry, etc, some fields have not been touched, such as the significant effect and influence of Shi Shi,in the process of the development of views on Chinese poems' style;and some fields have not been studied fully, such as,the role of Shi Shi on the history of poetry. So it is a significant work to arrange the academic achievements and to put forward a future proposition.
