Abstract
Urban culture initiates from urban historical heritages and accumulation. Because of the diversities of city culture,there is not specific definition. This paper tries to explain and analyze the contents of urban culture and its policy. Through study of urban culture in the regeneration process in UK,the authors argue that urban culture is able to provide active functions in urban regeneration and renewal with appropriate guidance. Several strategies of culture-led regeneration and renewal have been proposed for further discussion.
