Ancient Chinese literary theory has isolated from the present literary life.It is aphasiac not only in Chinese modern literature and world literature,but also in ancient Chinese literature itself.It must be transformed into modern pattern actively and without delay.Since western literary theory is the mother of Chinese modern literary theory,the modern transformation of ancient Chinese literary theory should utilize western theory effectively.As for how to deal with western literary theory in the process of modern transformation of ancient Chinese literary theory,it is still a challenge to Chinese scholars.
