Abstract

Objective To study the curative effect of acupuncture recipe with the actions of fortifying spleen and reducing lipid on obesity patients induced by spleen deficiency and exuberant dampness, and its influence on patients' fasting blood fat.MethodsAccording to the principles of randomized controlled trials, all patients were divided into treatment group(n=62) and control group(n=20).Treatment group was treated with modified acupuncture recipe, which included Neiting(S44),Gongsun(SP4),Zusanli(ST36),Zhongwan(CV12) and Fenglong(S40).Control group was treated with acupuncture in eight points around umbilicus, which included bilateral Huaroumen(ST24),Tianshu(S25),Wailing(ST26),Shuifen(RN9) and Yinjiao(RN7).A therapeutic course was 10 days and all groups were treated for 3 therapeutic courses. The curative effect and changes of patients' weight, body mass index(BMI),waistline, hipline and fasting blood fat were observed before and after treatment. Results ①Patients' weight,BMI,waistline and hipline had statistical differences in two groups before and after treatment(P0.05).The levels of serum total cholesterol(TC) and triglyceride(TG) had statistical differences in treatment group before and after treatment(P0.05).②The total clinical effective rate had statistical difference between two groups(P0.05).③ The patients' weight and hipline(P0.05),BMI(P0.01) and TC and TG(P0.05) had statistical differences between two groups after treatment.ConclusionThe curative effect of acupuncture recipe with the actions of fortifying spleen and reducing lipid is better than that of acupuncture in eight points around umbilicus in obesity patients induced by spleen deficiency and exuberant dampness, and the former can decrease patients' weight,BMI,hipline and levels of TC and TG.
