Abstract
Objective To explore the significance of maspin expression in non-small cell lung cancer(NSCLC)and its correlation with p53.Methods The expression of maspin and p53 was detected in the specimens from 99 cases with NSCLC by immunohistochemical analysis. Results Maspin expression showed a statistical association with pathological type, histologic grade, lymph node metastasis and clinical stage(P0.05).The expression of p53 correlated with clinical stage and lymph node metastasis(P0.05).There was an inverse correlation between the expression of maspin and p53 protein(γ=-0.180),while the statistical significance was not found(P=0.075).Conclusion The maspin and p53 protein may play an important role in the development of NSCLC.It was no found statistical correlation between the expression of maspin and p53protein in this study.
