Abstract
The CAD model of the frame was set up by Pro/E.The parts were assembled to 3D vehicle frame considering effects of their connections. The modal analysis was studied by ANSYS,and analyzes the dynamic characteristics of the light-truck frame based on the natural frequencies, modal shapes and experimental modal analysis.Coupling in ANSYS is used to simulate rivet joints and element type is SHELL63.Experimental modal analysis confirmed that the FEM model is reliable.
