Observation on Effect of Metformin Combines with Pioglitazone and Sitagliptin Phosphate in Treatment of Patients Type 2 Diabetes

Objective To observe the clinical effect of Metformin combines with Pioglitazone and Sitagliptin Phosphate on type 2 diabetes patients. Methods A total of 30 patients,treated with the combination of Metformin 500 mg and Pioglitazone 15 mg for 12 weeks,were turned into the therapy of released-Metformin 1 g and Sitagliptin Phosphate 100 mg for 12 weeks. Results Under the combination therapy of released-Metformin and Sitagliptin Phosphate,the FBG,HbA1c, FINS,2 h BG,and hypoglycemia were reduced significantly( P 0. 05). Conclusion The effect of combination of Metformin and Sitagliptin Phosphate is superior to that of the combination of Metformin 500 mg and Pioglitazone 15 mg on the control of blood glucose,hypoglycemia and overweight in type 2 diabetes patients.
