Diagnosis and treatment of adrenal lymphangioma

Objective:To investigate the clinical features,diagnosis and treatment of adrenal lymphangioma. Method:Data of 12 cases of adrenal lymphangioma were collected and analyzed retrospectively.Result:Three patients underwent retroperitoneoscopic surgery,six patients underwent transperitoneal laparoscopic surgery,and three patients underwent open excision of adrenal lymphangioma.The recovery of all the 12 patients was satisfied. All patients were followed up for 11 months to 12 years and 9 months,no recurrence or metastases was found. Conclusion:Adrenal lymphangioma is a rare benign tumor.Not all the patients but a few have clinical manifestations which consist of palpitation,diaphoresis,hypertension and low back pain.The preoperative diagnosis depends mainly on imaging findings and confirmed diagnosis relies on pathological examinations.Surgery is the first choice with favorable prognosis.
