Abstract
The quality of irrigation water has the potential to significantly affect soil structural properties, infiltration and irrigation application efficiency.Based on the trial plot of Kaifeng,Henan Province, the study was carried out for three types of soil and three different sodium(SAR=0.9,10,30).The irrigation quota is from middle to high(2370~2610 m~3/hm~2).It was found that the irrigation water quality and soil electrolyte concentration influence significantly the soil structure, surface layer density and infiltration. It was proved that due to high sodium content in irrigation water, the irrigation efficiency was reduced from 40% to 21%.
