Abstract

Objective:To explore the inner relationship between fetal fibronectin (FFN) in cervical secretions,interleukin-6 (IL-6) in serum and infection in pregnant women of 28~34 gestational weeks. Methods:The levels of FFN in cervical secretions and IL-6 in serum from 41 pregnant women of 28~34 gestational weeks with threatened preterm labor (study Ι group),40 pregnant women of 28~34 gestational weeks with premature delivery (study Ⅱ group) and 60 normal pregnant women of 28~34 gestational weeks (control group) were measured by ELISA.Results:The levels of FFN and IL-6 in study Ⅱ group were higher than those in control group (P0.05),there was no significant difference between study I group and control group (P0.05),the levels of FFN and IL-6 in pregnant women with premature delivery were higher than those in control group (P0.05).The sensitivity and negative predictive value of FFN in predicting preterm delivery and delivery within one week were higher than those of IL-6,while the specificity and positive predictive value reversed. Conclusion:FFN and IL-6 are related to infectious preterm delivery, combined detection contributes to detection of clinical infection, which can be used as sensitive indexes in predicting infectious preterm delivery.
