Abstract
[Objective] To optimize the extraction parameters of ephedrine,so as to provide basis for improving the extracting method for ephedrine.[Method] Effects of pH value, shaking duration, phase ratio and extraction steps on the extraction percentage of ephedrine were investigated using ethyl acetate as extraction solvent.[Result] The optimum extraction conditions were:pH value ranging from 12 to 13,shaking duration of 2.0min,1:1 of phase ratio and extraction steps of 3.[Conclusion] Little in pollution and simple in process, the ethyl acetate extraction can be employed as a method for extracting ephedrine from HERBA EPHEDRAE.
