Treatment of Cervical Vertigo with the Combination of DanHong injection(丹红注射液) and Acupuncture

Objective:To observe the therapeutic effect of acupuncture and DanHonginjection in treating cervical vertigo.Methods:89 patients were divided randomly into an acupuncture group of 45 cases and a medication group of 44 cases.The acupuncture group received acupuncture majorly at Taichong Fengchi and other points and combine intravenous injection of DanHonginjection,and themedication group was prescribed with conventional Western medicinetreatment,successive 7-day treatments as a course,altogether two courses.The therapeutic effects in the two groups were observed.Results:The total effective rate was 88.9% in theacupuncture group,versus 68.2% in the medication group,and the difference was statistically significant(P0.01);the improvement of the blood flow of vertebral artery in the acupuncture group was obviously better than that in the medication group(P0.01);Conclusion:Comparing acupuncture and DanHonginjection with conventional Western medicinetreatment in treating Vertigo disease,the first treatment method better the rapeutic effect in treating Vertigo.
