Evaluation of the Effect of Lianhuaqingwen Capsule in Treatment of Acute Upper Respiratory Tract Infection

Objective To evaluate the therapeutic effect and safety of Lianhuaqingwen capsule in treating acute upper respiratory tract infectiong.Methods 200 patients who were diagnosed clinically as upper respiratory tract infection were randomly divided into two groups.100 patients in treatment group were treated by taking Lianhuaqingwen capsule;the other 100 patients in control group were treated by Ganmaoling tablet,with a treatment course of 2-4 days for both groups.Results Overall clinical efficacy,temperature and the improvement of the the major sydromes of the treatment group were better than the control group,no significant difference in adverse events.Conclusion Lianhuaqingwen capsule is safe and effective in treating acute upper respiratory tract infection,clinical effect of Lianhuaqingwen capsule is better than Ganmaoling tablet.
