On Transnational Operations of Small and Medium-sized Enterprises from Guizhou

Abstract

Traditionally,international business has been regarded as an arena dominated by big corporations.With deepening economic integration,however,more and more small and medium-sized enterprises(SMEs) have emerged on the international market and people have realized their unique competitive advantage in transnational operations.Confronted with competition on the domestic and international market,SMEs from Guizhou,located in less-developed western area,must make full use of its rich labor resources and natural resources,and transform their comparative advantage into competitive advantage through effective transnational operations.Only in this way,can they transform traditional industries,upgrade industrial structure and attain the ultimate goal of achieving leapfrog development in Guizhou.
