Abstract
Vanadium was recovered by a new roasting-acid leaching process from vanadium ore in Henan Province. The influence of category of additive, percentage of additive, roasting temperature, roasting time, acid concentration,solid-to-liquid ratio, leaching temperature and leaching time upon leaching rate was investigated. The experimental results showed that the vanadium ore was well activated when calcium oxide was used as additive, the percentage of additive was 10% and the ore was roasted at 850~900℃ for 3 hours. In acid leaching process, the leaching rate was above 80% when the ore was leached at 70~80℃ for 3 hours, the acid concentration was 5% and the solid-to-liquid ratio was 2.5∶1.
