Abstract
To study whether a wheat gene(FJ803924) coding an enzyme related to fertility of photoperiod-temperature sensitive male sterile rice lines is relevant to the fertility wheat male sterile lines, the expression of this gene was investigated in spikes at different period of male sterile wheat lines grown under controled different temperature by semi-quantitative PCR,including non-1B/1R K-type male sterile wheat line K732A and its maintainer line 732B,YS type temperature sensitive male sterile line A3017,and 1B/1R K-type male sterile wheat line 3314A and its maintainer 3314B.The results indicate that the expression of this gene had apparent differences in 732A and A3017,but no obvious changing difference could be observed in the other lines. In different wheat lines, the expression of the this gene was affected by the temperature at different levels, and had different relationships with fertility.
