Notes of Birds in Sichuan

According the bookA Checklist on the Classification and Distribution of the Birds of the World,statistics on birds species in Sichuan Province were made.There are 647 species belonging to 78 families and 20 orders,and occupying 77.2% of families,83.3% of orders and 50.0% of species in China.There are 15 species of national first-grade protected,81 species of national second-grade protected,37 species of endemic in Sichuan Province.Endemic species occupied 53.6% of China.9 species were appendix Ⅰ of CITES(2003),56 species were appendix Ⅱof CITES.33 species were recorded in the red-list of IUCN.
