Cai Yuan-pei's Thought of Aesthetic Education and Its Practice at Peking University

An important characteristic of CaiYuanpei's education thoughts is to enforce the role and function of aesthetics in higher education. In his educational policy, education is very important, as well as moral intellectual and physical education. In his opinion, education can mould a person's temperament, and train a healthy character. The point of view aesthetic education instead of religion and culture movement should not forget education, has positive significance. 
