Abstract
Sodium Bisulfate is used as Catalyst in esterification of lactic acid and n-butyl alcohol and the effects of reaction conditions are investigated. The optimum reaction condition is found as follow:The conversion of the lactic acid is 97.2%,Under the volume ratio of latic acid to n-butyl alcohol 1∶3,quantity of catalyst to acid and alcohol 1.5%(W),reaction time 2.0h.The experimental result shows that this catalyst has high catalytic activity.
