Abstract

Objective:To establish a method for determination of lead and chromium in food by graphite furnace atomic absorption spectrometry. Methods:A microwave rapid digestion of food samples-graphite furnace atomic absorption spectrometry determination of lead and chromium in food system was established. Results:The detection limits of lead and chromium were 4.8 μg/kg and 0.18 μg/kg respectively and the average recovery of standard addition was above 95 percent while RSD was 2.1%~4.4%.Conclusion:The method is simple and rapid of sample preparation with less reagent, high accuracy and precision of test results in food system to meet food requirements of the determination of lead and chromium.
