Abstract
Purpose:To investigate the expression of resistance related genes in lung carcinomas tissues and its clinical significance.Methods:eighty one samples from untreated lung carcinoma patients were examined by immunohistochemistry technique. Results:The positive rates of P gp ?MRP and LRP were 61%,49%, 65%., 56%,22%,44% in NSCLC and SCLC respectively. The positive rates of P gp?MRP and LRP were not correlated to TNM staging( P 0.05).The patients with positive P gp and LRP expression responded more poorly to chemotherapy than those with negative P gp and LRP expression ( P 0.05). Conclusions:Multidrug resistance of lung cancer was a process of polygene and multiple pathways. Examination of resistance related genes in lung carcinomas tissues can assist in the judgment of effectiveness of chemotherapeutics and prognosis.
