A Study of the Phonetic System of Ziyuan Dialect in Guangxi

Abstract

The Ziyuan County is situated at the border region between Guangxi and Hunan Province,which language condition is complex.As the local authoritative dialects,Ziyuan dialect has the lots of characteristics in phonetic system.It belongs to Xiang dialect,so it has many phonetic feature of Lou-Shao area in Xiang dialect,such as retenting voiced sound;Simultaneously it receives the influence of the southwest Mandarin,it will move closer to Southwest Mandarin in the future.
