Analysis on the consumption structure and tendency for Chinese rural residents

Demonstration analysis was conducted on the consumption structure of Chinese rural residents by utilizing expanded linear expenditure system.Then,the paper make prediction of the consumption structure of Chinese rural residents from 2008 to 2010.The results show that the consumption structure of rural residents has realized the transformation from the type of food and clothing to the well-off type.The Engel coefficient will continue to decline,but the farmer's consumption will keep the characteristics of daily-needs-type.On this basis,the paper gives some policy suggestion to the optimization of the consumption structure of Chinese rural residents.
