Abstract

The catalyst(HAT-099) for transalkylation of toluene and heavy aromatics was prepared using modified mordenite zeolite(HCM),the HCM was characterized by means of temperature programmed desorption(NH3-TPD) technique and pyridine adsorption infrared spectroscopy(Py-IR) and the catalytic performance of HAT-099 catalyst for the transalkylation of toluene and heavy aromatics in industrial application was investigated. The results showed that the amount of total acid sites and strong acid sites of HCM were 60% and 67%,respectively,more than those of the traditional mordenite. The industry application was carried out under the conditions: 340-420 ℃,2.5-3.0 MPa,mass ratio of toluene to C9+A(60:40)-(40:60) and mass fraction of C10A 5%-12%,weight hourly space velocity(WHSV) 2-3 h-1 and molar ratio of hydrogen to hydrocarbon 3.0-4.0,and the conversion of heavy aromatics and ethylbenzene(EB) mass fraction of C8 aromatics reached 68.5% and 1.5%,respectively.
