Abstract

Objective To evaluate the effects of apheresis platelets on the donor′s health.Methods The number and function of platelet in blood donors before and after blood platelet donation were determined and analyzed.Results The difference of number of platelet,mean platelet volume,large platelet cell ratio,platelet distribution width,was not significant before and after platelet donation.Conclusion Plateletpheresis had no direct adverse effects on the platelet number and function of the donors.
