Abstract
Objective To compare the clinical efficacy of three different therapeutic protocols on endometriosis. Methods A multi-center randomized controlled study was made. One hundred and seventeen cases of endometriosis were randomly divided into Hongteng Decoction group,Enema Decoction group,Hongteng Decoction plus Enema Decoction group, and danazol group.Clinical effect, scores of symptoms and ectopic endometrium were observed.ResultsThere was no difference in the clinical efficacy between the four groups(P0.05).The scores of dysmenorrhea right after treatment and after three-month drug withdrawal in the three Chinese medicine group were lower than those before treatment(P0.05).Ectopic endometrium in the Hongteng Decotiongroup and the Hongteng Decoctionplus Enema Decoctiongroup were all reduced(P0.05).Conclusions Enema Decoction and Hongteng Decoction may improve clinical symptoms of endometriosis, reduce ectopic endometrium;oral Hongteng Decoction with possible Enema Decoction is superior to single Enema Decoction.
