Abstract
The studies of the activated carbon modified by ammonia in the enrichment and separation of coal mine gas were carried out,and the effect of ammonia concentrate and modification time on the adsorption isotherms of CH4and N2,separation factors and surface chemical structure of activated carbon were discussed. The results showed that the adsorption capacity of CH4of activated carbon modified with ammonia are increased by 2. 08%. And the separation factors are raised from 5. 02 to 5. 38,and the key of the adsorption capacity is the pore size,in addition ammonia modified introduced basic groups for activated carbon surface, change the sample nature, the activated carbon modified with 12 h,10% ammonia solution is the best.
