OpenDWG Applications in Engineering Drawings Management

Abstract

Based on analysis of OpenDWG technology,this paper puts forward a new technical scheme for drawings management system,and discusses some development patterns about checking-in,auditing,browsing,printing and exchanging of drawings.Several implementation methods are summarized,including extracting of data from drawings,evaluation of information of title,mini-browser of DWG and conversion of drawings between different CAD platforms.Applications developed based on OpenDWG could be integrated with various drawings management systems in the form of executable program or component and work well in practice.
