An Analysis on the Status and Development of Civil Natural Gas Industry in China

With West-to-East Gas Transmission Project,North-to-South Gas Transmission Project and inshore gas pipeline construction,the civil natural gas will develop to a new level in China.The status of civil natural gas industry is summarized from two aspects.On the one hand,four areas are divided according to the characteristics of civil nature gas industry,which displays an imbalance of progress.On the other hand,several important problems are proposed about government supervision and control,such as the systematic coordination of a project,natural gas peak shaving and natural gas distribution.The development prospects are forecasted.Some measures should be taken seriously,including fostering and expanding civil natural gas market more actively,constructing foundational facilities with more efforts,improving managing level of gas distribution corporations,building special natural gas statutes,forming fair and reasonable price system and planning natural gas utilization scientifically.These actions will accelerate the development of civil natural gas.
