Abstract
As subjects of translation, the author, translator and reader are all actively participating in the process of translation and the target text is,in fact, the result of their joint effort. However, the subjectivity of the translator is restricted by the subjectivity of the author and the reader,so conflict among the subjects is inevitable. To be successful in translation, research should be shifted from subjectivity to inter-subjectivity so as to integrate the perspectives of the subjects by means of their conversations based on equality.
