Clinical observation on the diagnosis and treatment of patients with recurrent vulvovaginal candidiasis

Objective To observe the clinical efficacy of the patients with recurrent vulvovaginal candidiasis treated by drugs. Methods Three hundred and eight cases of patients with recurrent vulvovaginal candidiasis in our hospital in recent years were divided into two groups in turn, 154 cases in the treatment group, and 154 cases in the control group. The patients in the control group were treated by Fluconazole only, yet patients in the treatment group were treated by Terbinafine Hydrochloride vaginal effervescent tablets based on the treatment of the control group. Then the treatment efficacy of the two groups were compared. Results The recurrence rate of the treatment group after a course and 6 menstrual cycles after the treatment was respectively 3.25%, 5.84%, which was lower than the 14.94%, 39.61% in the control group, and the difference was significant (P 0.05). Conclusion The efficacy of the recurrent vulvovaginal candidiasis treated by Fluconazole combined with Terbinafine hydrochloride vaginal effervescent tablets is superior to the treatment of Fluconazole only, and it is worth popularizing.
