Abstract
Nano-crystalline nickel coating was prepared on the surface of 45 steel using jet-electroplating technology, then the coating was processed by laser remelting. The microstructure, microhardness and corrosion resistance of the laser remelting coating were analyzed and measured. The results show that the grain size of the nickel deposition is below 100 nm,the formed coating is metallurgically bonded with substrate;the interior structure consists of lots of dendritic and isometeric crystal. After laser remelting, the hardness and corrosion resistance of the coating increase obviously.
