A Study of the Spread of Buddhism in Zhejiang in the Eastern Wu and the Jin Dynasties

Abstract
A study on the spread of Buddhism in Zhejiang during the Eastern Wu and the Jin dynasties shows that the Eastern Wu Dynasty witnessed a good start of the spread of Buddhism but the Western Jin was relatively a declining period for Buddhism in Zhejiang.The Eastern Jin Dynasty is an important period for the development of Buddhism in Zhejiang Province.In the Eastern Wu and the Jin dynasties,the development of Buddhism in Zhejiang is characteristic of direct proportion to political,economic and cultural development in Zhejiang,the fusion of Buddhism and metaphysics and the free private schooling feature of the Buddhism in Zhejiang.
