Abstract

Objective: To evaluate the clinical efficacy of three root canal filling materials in primary teeth. Methods: 492 patients with primary teeth disease were divided into three groups randomly, these teeth were obturated with root canal filling paste(control group),paste iodoform-zinc oxide eygenol and paste iodoform-calcium hydroxide respectively. The clinical efficacy was observed at 3 months,1 year and 2.5 years later after root canal therapy. Results:There was no significant difference between paste iodoform-zinc oxide eygenol group and root canal filling paste group(P0.05),and there was significant difference between paste iodoform-calcium hydroxide group and root canal filling paste group(P0.05).Conclusion: Iodoform-calcium hydroxide paste is more suitable for root canal therapy as root canal filling materials in primary teeth.
