Abstract
This paper concentrated on the integration of optimization design, reliability design, robust design and DFx(Design for x) by using axiomatic design. We described axiomatic design as an integration frame, so design methods can be used in the hierarchy structure that is provided by axiomatic design. Therefore, many design methods can be used cooperatively to improve the design's effectiveness. Finally, an example is given to explain how to use axiomatic design to integrate modern design methods in this paper.
