Development in Research and Application of Axiomatic Design Theory

Axiomatic design is applicable to all kinds of design,such as products,processes,systems,software,organizations,materials,and business plans.It is theoretical basis of all other design theories and methods.On the basis of sketching the axiomatic design theory,this paper analyzed the characteristics of some design theories and methods such as robust design,concurrent design,quality function deployment and so on,and expound the relations between them and axiomatic design.It presented the trait of software of axiomatic design and the present statas in study and application of axiomatic design.
