Application of Qing Dynasty costumes for contemporary apparel design

Abstract

In this paper,Chinese Qing Dynasty costume which have both historical and actual values were investigated.Combining with today's popular fashion design elements,Qing Dynasty costume was appropriately used in modern garments.Then,four clothing styles with Qing Dynasty features were introduced.This study provided a new idea for contemporary apparel design.
