Supreme laryngeal mask airway in application of the elderly patients with general anesthesia

Abstract

Aim To explore the advantage of supreme laryngeal mask airway used in the elderly patients with general anesthesia.Methods 100 elderly patients with total hip replacement surgery,ASAⅠ ~ Ⅲ level were chosen,double-blind randomized into supreme laryngeal mask airway group(group L,n=50)and tracheal tube group(group T,n=50).Patients'systolic blood pressure(SBP),diastolic blood pressure(DBP),heart rate(HR)were recorded before the induction of general anesthesia(T0),before inserting laryngeal mask airway/tracheal tube(T1),inserting laryngeal mask airway/tracheal tube immediately(T2),after inserting laryngeal mask airway/tracheal tube 5 min(T3),before uprooting laryngeal mask airway/tracheal tube(T4),uprooting laryngeal mask airway/tracheal tube immediately(T5),uprooting laryngeal mask airway/tracheal tube after 5 min(T6);Perioperative-associated complications of the patients were recorded.Results group L hemodynamic was more stable than T group during the intubation/decannulation.The perioperative associated complications in group T was significantly more than those in group L(P0.05).Conclusion Supreme laryngeal mask airway are not only hemodynamic relatively stable but also reduce the perioperative associated complications,whose advantages are obviously higher than endotracheal tube.
