Abstract

Objective To evaluate the clinical effect of ulinastatin on inflammatory markers in patients with acute liver failure. Methods A total of 28 patients with acute liver failure, were randomly divided into two groups: control group and treatment group(n=14). Control group were given conventional treatments, and treatment group were given ulinastatin by 200 000 U Bid additionally. In two groups, RS score, APACHEⅡscore, TNF-a, IL-6, C reactive protein(CRP) and calcitonin original(PCT) were continuously measured on 1 d, 3 d, 5 d, 7 d and 10 d. Data was analyzed by SPSS 16.0. Variance on time and group were analyzed by repeated measures of general linear model. SIRS score and APECHEⅡscore, as ranked data, were analyzed by chi-square test. Results Levels of SIRS score, APACHE-Ⅱscore, TNF-a, IL-6, CRP and PCT, were declined in two groups(P 0.05). Furthermore, levels decreased more significantly in treatment group than control group(P0.05). Conclusion Ulinastatin, used in patients with acute liver failure, can effectively inhibit inflammatory factor, reduce inflammation reaction, alleviate the illness.
