Clinical application of dual-phase multi-slice spiral CT in diagnosis of pancreatic neoplasms

[Objective] To evaluate the application of dual-phase multi-slice spiral CT in the diagnosis of pancreatic neoplasms.[Methods] Thirty eight cases were performed with the protocols of plain scan,pancreatic and hepatic phase scan.Mean CT attenuation value was obtained for normal pancreatic pareachyma,neoplasms in each phase images,respectively,and the difference of the CT value for both was calculated in each phase.The dilated and other changed of the small peripancreatic veins were assessed.[Results] The difference of the CT values was(6±3),(43±18) and(23±16) Hu for plain scan,pancreatic phase and hepatic phase scan,respectively.The difference was remarkable in the pancreatic phase scan.[Conclusion] It is of significance for the protocols of the pancreatic dual-phase scan to the diagnosis of pancreatic neoplasms,especially with pancreatic phase displaying the small peripancreatic veins.
