Translated "Free Verse"——Some Considerations on Free Verse Introduced into New Poetry

As a modern poetic form in the west,free verse was introduced into the new poetry of China during the late Qing dynasty to the literary revolution during the May 4th Movement.However,as a poetic style in the modern western poetry,the definition of free verse is full of ambiguity and complexity when it was introduced into the new poetry in China by the theorist of the modern poetry,because of the immature language(the modern Chinese) and the complexity of context,which makes the reader and the author’s understanding of free verse full of ambiguity and misunderstanding on the one hand,it inspired a wide range of possibilities for the creative practice on the other hand.Therefore,it is especially necessary to examine the concepts of free verse.
