Abstract

The challenge of information globalization has made it increasingly important to raise students' critical language awareness during language teaching.This paper attempts to discuss the principles and theoretical framework of critical discourse analysis focusing on classification,transitivity,modality and transformation to reveal the ideology hidden in language.A latest VOA news report is used to illustrate the pedagogic application of the theoretical framework.
