Abstract

Objective To analyze the clinical factors influencing pregnancy rate after intrauterine insemination. Methods The data of 290 cycles in 221 women with barrenness after intrauterine insemination were retrospectively analyzed, including total pregnancy rate after intrauterine insemination, accumulative pregnancy rate, age factor, infertility term of years, the time of intrauterine insemination, fallopian tube factor, endometrium thickness. Results The total pregnancy rate in 290 cycles was 15.5% and accumulative pregnancy rate was 29.8%.The pregnancy rate in the women above 35 years was significantly decreased. The pregnancy rate of twice a cycle was significantly higher that of once a cycle. The decrease of pregnancy rate was closely related with fallopian tube factors. Conclusion Intrauterine insemination is an effective way to treat barrenness.Two-time intrauterine insemination in a cycle is superior to that of one-time intrauterine insemination in a cycle. The pregnancy rate is obviously reduced in the women below 35 years with fallopian tube factors.
