Abstract
This paper introduces the structure and characteristic of two novel types of hybrid excitation linear synchronous motor with permanent magnet and electric excitation. The air-gap magnetic field of the two types of linear motors is analyzed with ANSYS8.1 software pack. The results of the distribution of magnetic field and the electromagnetic propulsive force are shown. In the end, we compare the theoretical results with the experimental results of the actual model.
