Abstract
Although the reform of state-owned enterprises (SOEs) still is the key issue of the reform of economic system in China, now the reform of SOEs has new meaning after 20 years' reform step by step and there are different kinds of Neo-SOEs. This article looks back the history of the reform of the SOEs, and explains what the Neo-SOEs is. Basing on one analytical structure, the article analyses the current situation and the future of the Neo-SOEs. A rapid development of the Neo-SOEs is special and phased phenomenon in the process of the reform of economic system, and which means the task of the reform of SOEs is not finished. The SOEs still face two historic missions, one is contribution to China's industrialization, another is deepening the reform of SOEs.
