Effection of periodontal scaling on periodontal disease peatients undergoing fixing appliance

Objective:To observe the effect of oral health through periodontal sealing and oral hygiene education on the peri- odontal disease patients undergoing fixing orthodontics. Methods:81 periodontal disease subjects who had been cured or con- troled effectively were divided randomly into two groups.The experimental group:oral hygiene education and sealing one time every month. The control group:underwent oral hygiene education. Dental plaque index (PLI),gingival index (GI) and mobility (M) were examined at four times:before orthordontics,at 4 month.8 month and the end of treatment. X-ray picture before treatment and after treatment were contrasted.Datas were analysed with statistics. Results:Slatistics analysis dissovered that the PLI and the GI was remarkably different between the experimental group and the control group (P0.001).But the data in X-ray and M had no difference. Conclusion:For the periodontal patients undergoing fixing apliance, the periodontal scaling and the oral hygiene education are undergoing effective.
