Abstract
Objective To study the clinical distribution and drug resistance of Proteus mirabilis isolated in Ningbo Women and Children's Hospital, and provide guidance for clinical medication.Method The authors collected 132 strains of Proteus mirabilis isolated from their hospital during June 1,2009 to May 31,2011.The clinical isolates were identified by VITEK-60 of Bio-Merieux of France.Antibiotic susceptivity test was done by Kirby-Bauer method. And quality control was done with reference strains.Result Most of the clinical specimens came from urine(51.50%),followed by wound secretion(21.21%),vaginal discharge(19.70%),and others(7.59%).Proteus mirabilis was more sentive to the following antibiotics: Amikacin,Aztreonam,Meropenem,Imipenem,Cefazolin,Cefuroxime axetil,Ceftriaxone,Ceftazidime,Cefotaxime,Maxipime,Cefoxitin,Roxithromycin,Ampicillin/sulbactam,Piperacillin/tazobactam,and Cefoperazone/sulbactam,respectively.Conclusion It is important to strengthen the separation, identification and resistance test of Proteus mirabilis to guide clinical selection of antibiotics.
