Abstract
Objective To observe the effect of Huangqibuwei decoction combined with Tieqisan powder on the treatment of diarrehea- predominant pattern irritable bowel syndrome. Methods 60 patients with weakness of the spleen and the stomach and diarrehea- predominant pattern irritable bowel syndrome were randomly divided into three groups. 20 patients in control group were treated Montmorillonite powder. 20 cases in traditional Chinese medicine group were treated by Huangqibuwei decoction. 20 patients in combined group were treated by Huangqibuwei decoction combined with Tieqisan powder. The course was seven days in three groups. The changes of symptoms score before and after treatment and effect were observed after four courses. Results The total effective rate in combined group and traditional Chinese medicine group( 95. 0%,85. 0%) was higher than that in control group( 70. 0%,P 0. 05). The total effective rate in combined group was higher than that in traditional Chinese medicine group( P 0. 05). The symptoms score after treatment was decreased in three groups( P 0. 05,P 0. 01). The symptoms score after treatment in combined group and traditional Chinese medicine group was lower than that in control group( P 0. 05). The symptoms score after treatment was higher in combined group than that in traditional Chinese medicine group( P 0. 05). Conclusion Huangqibuwei decoction combined with Tieqisan powder has definite effect on the treatment of weakness of the spleen and the stomach and diarrehea- predominant pattern irritable bowel syndrome.
