Research on the Regional Classification of the Developing Models of Small Towns——Taking Shanxi Province as the Example

This paper expounds that the exploration of small towns' developing models with the overall conception of town and county must connect with the regions of the small towns, tries to make the quantitative research on the regional types of small towns' developing model taking the county (district) as the unit within Shanxi's region, definite the poverty-type developing model according to the standard of the national poor county, divides the suburb-type developing model according to the standard of the central cities with the population of above 0.5 million, and divides other small towns into the industrial type, service type, traditional farming area type, and equilibrium type based on the economic structure targets--the increasing value of the three industries as the classifying foundation.
